Self-Residency Project

One of the challenges I’ve faced is overcoming low self-esteem. I use art and writing to reveal the rejected parts of myself and false narratives I created about myself and others in response to trauma from parental addiction and abandonment, emotional neglect and abuse, and sexual abuse (#metoo).

The purpose of this project is to explore the psychological archetypes that have emerged from my life experiences and to raise awareness of the challenges stemming from repressed emotions rooted in personal and intergenerational trauma. I also hope to give voice to the suffering of women victimized by a misogynistic and patriarchal social order in desperate need of transformation for the well-being of all.

Ultimately, it is empathy, compassion, and love that empower us to reclaim our innate ability to create a balance of masculine and feminine energies and offer our gifts to a suffering world.
